Born and raised in Texas, I'm the only person in my immediate family born outside of Minnesota.
Both of my parents are retired. I enjoyed growing up with one brother and two sisters. One of my favorite things in life is when we congregate at my parent's house and enjoy morning coffee.
Concordia College, Moorhead is my alma mater, where I graduated with a BA in philosophy. I've obtained my Master's degree and am completing my Doctoral degree, both in clinical psychology, from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology.
I’m passionate about clinical psychology, especially cognitive-behavioral therapy. In addition to my clinical work, I spend a significant amount of my time on research, with an emphasis on the relationships between biology and mental disorders.
Over and beyond my work in mental health, I’m an enthusiastic chess player, fan of numerous sports teams and players, lover of all types of games, and devotee of Star Trek.
